Gene is so fuckin funny. People don’t understand that it’s his schtick. It’s not serious. I met him twice in 2017, once by accident, and I totally interrupted his day, he was nothing but gracious that I did so. He walked me around by the shoulders for about 20-30 minutes talking about music and shopping for Kiss merch at an Expo. He even bought me the Spin magazine with him on the cover that he signed the next day when I was supposed to meet him. He’s a great guy when he isn’t at an interview.
